A teeny-weeny monkeywrench…

It’s not much. But I felt inordinately proud of it.

I went to rent a storage unit recently. For whatever reason, the application demanded the usual SSN (socialist slave number). Now, on several other applications (for walk-in medical treatment, for one) around that time, I’d filled in that blank with “decline to state at this time.”

But looking more closely, I saw that this storage unit questionnaire had a little loophole clause. It read something like “Social Security number OR Federal ID Number.”

Well…let’s just say that’s the very moment when I discovered that my passport number also has nine digits.

Hey…it’s federal ID, ain’t it?

Oh, wait…I think I mixed up a couple of those digits, though.  Maybe more.  Dangitall.  😉
