Welcome to my new digs!

Just a quick hello as I continue to get things up and running here at the new WordPress blogsite. Although Blogspot has apparently (finally!) unblocked their pages to users of Cotse.net proxy surfing services, I decided not to take any chances on the future. I like WordPress's features much better, too.

It's tricky to log in here at WordPress the first time or two if you're using a Cotse proxy, but not once you know the procedure. Basically, you just use your page name login url that WordPress will send you in the confirmation email, with https: (not http:) preceding it. Then when your blog comes up, hit the Back button on your browser to get to your dashboard. (I figured this out myself after two tech guys came up clueless. Huh.)

For those of you who've been reading my old blogs, thanks! I've decided to put them all into one big happy hodgepodge right here. (There's a limit to how much schizophrenic writing I can do – and I've noticed lately how a lot of topics relate to more than one of my former blog subject areas anyway. Plus, it saves my dearly loved readers from having to keep multiple bookmarks.)

WordPress makes it amazingly easy to transfer all the posts and even comments from Blogspot. Next I'll get the blogroll going again – sometime in the next couple of days, hopefully. And then more writing…I've got all kinds of intriguing ideas rolling around in my brain at the moment.

On an only slightly related note, Rob at Strike the Root has asked me to sit in as guest editor again (woohoo!!!) for the last three Thursdays in June. This is getting to be fun. Thanks to you loyal Outlaws who've cheered me on my first two times in the editor's chair.

I left three comments from my netscape bowser on this thread and none of them showed up.

These two I left with FireFox…

Hi, David – Sorry about the delay in the comment thing. I’ve got this blog set up so I moderate comments before they appear on the site. It’s the only way I’ve found so far to prevent comment spam on a WordPress blog.

    Cheers and thanks for reading!

Well, well there Ms. Jordan. I get lost in the woods and you up and move on me. Very pretty, kinda lady like. I like it.

Can’t say I’ll be back all that often. I kinda like not scrounging the net every day and gettin all worked up. Mazing when ya don’t know what’s going on, ya just don’t care.

Give ole Thunder a shout hello and take care. We be doin just fine.

Freedom42, it’s great to see you! And I know just what you mean about getting away from the news and other insanity. Feels good.

You be sure to give a holler back now and again, on TCF or wherever. Thunder says howdy too!
